October 14 8 months of fun!!! Sorry it has been so long since I have updated our page. We have been a very busy family since my last update. Addison is quite the good little traveler, having flown home to Minnesota 4 times now, and does great on the plane (sleeps most of the time:)). We went back to MN as a family the beginning of August as Addison's Great-Grandpa Bill passed away and then she and I went back in September for Auntie Katie's birthday. While we were home in August, Addie decided that it is much more fun to play when she is sitting by her self!!! Now in the last few weeks has started to skooch her little bottom around on the floor a bit, getting ready to crawl. She gets almost all the way on her hands and knees then plops back on her bottom. This past Saturday also marked the first time she rolled from her back to tummy, then up on her knees and sat by her self. It was really cute!!! We are now starting to baby proof the house as we think she is going to take off sometime soon. Another big update is that Addison now has 5 teeth (two on top and three on bottom) and loves to sit in her highchair and eat cereal and veggies or fruits. We are now getting ready for her first Halloween and another family trip home to MN for a pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving (I have to work on Thanksgiving this year, oh the life of a nurse:)). Be sure to check out the new pictures and I will try to stay ontop of all this better for the future. love, Jen, Collin and Addison July 16 Five months and countingOur little girl is now five months old and alot has gone on since the last update. I started a new job at The Children's Hospital (one of the top pediatric hosptials in the country) and am working as an RN on the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and am loving it. Collin is enjoying his job too at APL (a global cargo shipping company). But the most fun happening of the last month is that Addison now has her first two teeth. About three weeks ago, we finally figured out why she was so cranky for about a week, one tooth started poking through on the bottom, followed a few days later by the second tooth. Once they broke through she has been tolerating it very well though. She looks so cute with her new toothy grin!!!
At the end of June, we also had another visit by Grandma Pat from MN for Collin's birthday. Addison really enjoys her time with all her grandparents. We are planning another trip to MN in September to see Grandpa Tom, Step-grandma Rose and Great-grandpa Orr. Addison is really becomming quite the traveller. Last weekend Collin, Addie and I went up to Vail for Addie's first trip to the mountains. We all had a good time. We are venturing up to Gunnison this coming weekend for a softball tournament Collin is playing in. It should be fun.
Keep checking back for more updates in the future.
Collin, Jen and Addison May 05 Three months have flown by!!!!!Well, Addie is now three months old, and her personality is beginning to shine through. She is quite the happy baby, most of the time. She is now sleeping in her own crib and doing it well. She sleeps about 8-10 hours at night waking only once to feed, I am loving it!! Now if we can only get her to not be so opinionated and take a bottle things would be near perfect. I am starting back to work (new job at The Children's Hospital, Yeah!!!) in two weeks and the little bugger decided that bottles are not her thing (after taking them for about three weeks when she was a month old). But we are not giving up hope yet, bought several different brands/types and will keep on it. I am a bit sad about having to put her in daycare, but luckily with my job it is only for 3 days a week.
I can't believe how much she has changed in the past three months. She now smiles all the time, especially when she wakes in the morning, and coos quite a bit too. She sits up well with support, esp in her Bumbo seat (she has had the head control down pretty much since week 3). She is beginning to outgrow some of her 0-3 month clothes and probably weighs close to 11.5 pounds. I have added some recent pictures. Keep checking back for more updates. March 31 Addison is almost 2 months old!!!Wow does time fly. Our baby girl is almost 2 months old. We can't believe it. She is doing great. Starting to smile, and not just when she needs to fill her pants:) She just seems to get cuter each day. She also is starting to track with her eyes, following toys held in front of her and making more eye contact with us. She probaby weighs close to 11 pounds by now (we will find out next week at her 2 month check-up). The cats are still a bit skiddish around her, but becoming more brave, giving her the occasional sniff and laying by her bouncy seat when she is in it, or looking at her from the stairs when she is on her changing table downstairs. All in all, the last two months have been amazing. She sleeps great, giving me 3-5 hours of sleep between feedings at night.
Addie also recently experienced her first portrait experience, we took her in for 6 week pictures. They turned out great, she slept through the first part of the session then looked cute as ever for the rest. Some of our favorites are posted above.
Our latest adventure was traveling to Minnesota to introduce Addie to her grandpa and great-grandpa. She did pretty good on the flight out, cried or fussed about half the flight, but most people around us said she wasn't loud at all, but slept the entire flight home. She really enjoyed spending time with grandma and auntie Katie and uncle Patrick, but meeting grandpa Tom, step-grandma Rose and Great-grandpa Orr were the highlight of the trip. It was a success and we hope to bring her back again sometime soon. Next on our list is to meet Great-grandma Cacchione.
Hope this finds everyone well and be sure to check out the latest pictures.
Love,

February 24 February 6, 2008, Addison's Big DebutWell, the big day has now come and gone. I can't beleve she is 2 1/2 weeks old already. All in all things have been really good. She cries some, but in general is a really good baby. She has pretty much been that way since the beginning.
It all started the morning of the 6th. We had to be at the hospital by 6am (of course I could not sleep the night before due to nerves). My mom was with us having flew in the night before from MN. We got a front row parking spot at the hospital, which my mom took as a good omen :). All went well during the pre-op stuff, especially since the nurse taking care of me was actually a friend of mine, which I think helped me to relax. Next came the most interesting part, getting the spinal anesthesia. That was probably the wierdest experience I have ever had. It was a combo of Morphine and the numbing agent, so I was numb from the chest down (couldn't move my legs at all and kept asking the anesthesiologist about it, probably driving him nuts, but he was really nice) and a bit loopy from the narcotic. Collin was by my side the whole time they were working on me, up until the doctor said she was about to pull the baby out, when he peaked around the curtain finally. He got to see our daughter's butt emerge first and promptly poop as she was coming out, then she peed on the doctor once she was out, all while announcing her arrival with her strong lungs. From here on it is really a blur to me, I remember the doctor showing her to me then Collin went with her to the warmer to get cleaned up. She was perfect.
Addison's Stats:
7lbs 10oz
19 1/4 inces long
Apgars 8 & 9
More updates to come later. Thanks for visiting!
